To manage risk effectively it is fundamental to understand the adequacy of the control environment to mitigate and transfer risk.

We work with our clients to implement practical frameworks to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls to manage risk. Our approach helps identify opportunities, where controls may be providing risk reductions where the risk is sufficiently managed, as well as threats, where controls may not be sufficiently robust to reduce the probability or impact of risks materialising.

This process delivers a framework that raises awareness about the relationship between risk, the control environment and capital. This supports the board to embed a strong risk management culture where individuals within the organisation have a clear understanding about their day to day duties and how these contribute to risk and capital management.
